On the Carpet:

Your Next Shift: Great New Book for Nurses!

Nice!

Elizabeth Scala, MSN/MBA, RN is a Spiritual Practice Nurse, Reiki Master Teacher, Speaker and Author.

A while back I recommended her book, Nursing From Within.

Today I have good news, good readers!

She’s coming out with another great book: Your Next Shift: How to Kick Your Nursing Career into High Gear.

Here’s a quick video about it.

I love her books because they’re full of ideas, they’re fun, and they offer practical tips you can actually DO. In Your Next Shift, Elizabeth writes:

“… I like to learn by modeling what I read and hear. I learn from example. Actually getting my hands on the material and doing it in action. Well, that’s what I’m going to teach you in this book… I am literally going to be sharing from my own lessons learned.”

She’s learned a lot over the years. It’s also obvious that she loves what she does, loves helping others grow and improve their lives. Her enthusiasm washes over you and makes for a great experience.

And we all could use a little more of that, right?

Eagerly offered as part of the Virtual Book Tour for Your Next Shift:

About Big Red Carpet Nurse (1750 Articles)
Along with other stuff I enjoy that pays the bills (a plus!), I'm a budding nurse comic. I plan, like fake Opthomologist Rand Paul, to create my own professional organization solely so it will grant me a Doctorate. In my case, the org will be something like the AANC (American Association of Nurse Comics), and it will (trust me on this point) agree to make me the first ever DNC: Doctor of Nurse Comedy. I'll keep you posted!

  1. This book sounds awesome; do you know when it’s coming out? I’m hoping to get onto a nursing course this year possibly (I want to be a nurse AND a journalist so I need to pick an order to do them, probably sounds odd but works for my career plan), otherwise I have to wait until next year, but I want to learn all I can about nursing before I start so I have the best chance of becoming a good nurse!
