Incredible Glass Sculptures of Floating Jellyfish by Richard Satava

Cool! They float!

The Dancing Rest

These stunning glass artworks by Satava Art Glass are well known and appreciated througout the world.
The California-based glass artist Richard Satava creates these incredible Jellyfish using a technique called “glass-in-glass”, a glass sculpture suspended into a second molten glass layer that surround it.
You can spotted two of his Jellyfish in the movie Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy (look here below).

About Big Red Carpet Nurse (1750 Articles)
Along with other stuff I enjoy that pays the bills (a plus!), I'm a budding nurse comic. I plan, like fake Opthomologist Rand Paul, to create my own professional organization solely so it will grant me a Doctorate. In my case, the org will be something like the AANC (American Association of Nurse Comics), and it will (trust me on this point) agree to make me the first ever DNC: Doctor of Nurse Comedy. I'll keep you posted!

  1. Colorful and so lifelike. Great movement (to the eye) in the glass. (I’m an artist who has not used glass in sculpture, only lampworked in jewelry.) Such an eye-catching post.
