On the Carpet:

Great Nursing Minds, Versus the Rest. It Matters!

Nurses can lead, or we can follow.

Nurses can lead, or we can follow. Leaders Offer Ideas.

“Great minds discuss ideas; average minds discuss events; small minds discuss people”

– Eleanor Roosevelt

Nursing badly needs great minds; all of health care does, or course.

All nurses would do well to consider this great woman’s words.

Nurses would do even better to apply them in their own lives, their own work.

We badly need ideas, the more, the fresher, the better!

And we badly need to become more receptive to each others’ ideas. How better to encourage them?

We must rise above our own lives, our individual interests, and build our future. THE future.

Only ideas.

About Big Red Carpet Nurse (1750 Articles)
Along with other stuff I enjoy that pays the bills (a plus!), I'm a budding nurse comic. I plan, like fake Opthomologist Rand Paul, to create my own professional organization solely so it will grant me a Doctorate. In my case, the org will be something like the AANC (American Association of Nurse Comics), and it will (trust me on this point) agree to make me the first ever DNC: Doctor of Nurse Comedy. I'll keep you posted!

  1. That quote certainly sums up every “Reality” show (truly “Un-Reality”) that has ever tried to create elitist, self-important, self-involve images as real of life. I guess this was true during Ms. Roosevelt’s time also, without this issue being as exhausted as it appear on TV today.
